Crispy Tofu with Spicy Sichuan Sauce

Preparation

  • Cut tofu into 1” dice. Pat with kitchen towel to remove excess water. Deep fry at 170°C till golden on the outside, approximately 4 minutes (Air fryer can be used). Silken tofu can also be used and skip frying if preferred.

  • Heat oil in a saucepan on high heat. Add minced beef/chicken. Stir and cook constantly for about 1 minute. Add McCormick Garlic Powder and grated ginger. Add Grill Mates Sichuan Mala Sauce and mix well. Adjust consistency by adding chicken stock or water. Add sesame oil.

  • Pour the cooked beef/chicken over deep fried tofu. Sprinkle with spring onion for garnish. Serve hot.
