APPLE CINNAMON BREAD ROLL

A comforting treat that can be easily recreated with ingredients you can find at home. Filled with McCormick® Singles Cinnamon Ground which brings deep, warm sweetness to this dessert.

  • 5 green apple (peeled and cubed)
  • 150 g raisin
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 1 stick Singles Cinnamon Ground
  • 100 g water
  • 8 slices bread
  • 100 g butter

Preparation

  • Heat a pot over low flame, pour in brown sugar and allow it to melt. Once the sugar has melted, add in diced apple and stir till it is well mixed.

  • Add in water and cook till the apple is softened. Add in raisin once the apple has softened.

  • Pour in 1 stick of McCormick® Singles Cinnamon Ground into the mixture and simmer till it thickens. Allow mixture to cool and chill it for 4 hours.

  • Lay a slice of bread on a flat board and use a rolling pin to flatten it. Spread it lightly with some butter and put 1-2 tbsps of apple filling on it. Gently roll the bread with the filling into a cylindrical shape.

  • Heat up a pan with butter and place the opening of the rolled bread downwards. Pan fry till it is golden brown on all sides and serve it with a dollop whipped cream.
